Happy National Pretzel Day! I had these frozen pretzels in my freezer, the typical ones you find in your grocer’s frozen aisle. I felt these needed a better plan than the whole just “dipping into mustard” scenario. Any you now that any good scenario includes Bacon!!
I let the pretzels thaw out and sliced them in half with my bread knife. I precooked my Bacon in the oven and layered it on the bottom half of the pretzel slices. I topped the Bacon with Havarti cheese slices, but you can choose any kind of cheese you like. Then popped them in a nonstick skillet with a little butter to melt the cheese and warm the Bacon through.
Simple and exquisite. And no one will complain when you pull out a tray of these.
